Also know as Downtown Aspen, Central Aspen is the most popular vacation spot. Many of the vacation rental homes are old renovated Victorian houses and brick buildings that many of the ski shops, trendy restaurants, pubs and boutiques that keep the area hopping along the tree-lined streets. Many of the trails on the ski slopes of the Aspen Mountains actually end right in town.

Similar to most mountain ski resorts, Central Aspen vacation accommodations are generally more affordable in the summer season and more expensive in the winter high season. Also, the closer you are to the ski lifts, the more likelihood of the rental property being reserved for the peak winter weeks.
